2022/23 Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Programme

2022/23 Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Programme
Our 2022/23 Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Programme is now open for application! A brand new initiative from #EOC, the programme offers a series of experiential activities designed to encourage tertiary students to learn more about the needs and aspirations of different communities, and inspire a future generation of leaders committed to promoting #diversity#equality and #inclusion in Hong Kong.
From November 2022 till March 2023, the selected ambassadors will get to play sports with differently-abled athletes, visit a mosque and a guide dog training centre, attend a talk about anti-discrimination laws, and find out how a company can benefit from hiring talents from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Mentoring activities are also in the pipeline.
All full-time students from any higher education institution in Hong Kong are eligible to apply. Ambassadors who finish the programme with a satisfactory attendance rate will receive a certificate issued by the EOC, as well as a written reference letter and a LinkedIn recommendation from EOC Chairperson Ricky Chu.
Hats off to EOC Member Gary Wong Chi-him, JP for taking the time to come up with the idea with us, and making the announcement at our press conference last Friday with EOC’s Executive Director (Operations) Dr Ferrick Chu
Our special thanks also go to Mr Kim MOK Kim-wing, Founder and Chief Executive of Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society (HKNPIS) and Ms Christy YIU Kit-ching, long-distance runner and Chief Coach of the HKNPIS’ Fearless Dragon Running Team, both of whom attended the conference to rally support for the scheme.
Application will close on 31 October 2022.
